From 60s with love
I do love creating mosaic (as you can see from my portfolio),
but creating mosaics to remember happy moments is even better.

So a client ask me an artwork of mine as a gift for her sister's birthday.

She sent me some pictures of her parents but i immediatly had a feeling with this picture:
they were young on a beach of an italian seaside,
they were elegant
their pose is so delicate but intimate at the same time.

I simply love it this picture!

The next step is digital cutting off the subject and put them on a neutral background so this was the base of the mosaic process.
The mosaic
After a lot of work in photoshop this is the final mosaic. It's fresh, it's full of details (the thing i love most), but the subject are well defined.

The mom glance and hand and the dad pose are simply capitvating!
This is a crop at the mom face, as you can see she's still visibile even getting close to the image and you can even read of the text that came from Vanity Fair covers.
This is another crop. Here you can appreciate the movement of the the tiles (some vertical and some horizontal) that give the picture a dynamic touch.
The print
And this is the final print, on canvas 80cm x 60cm on the wall of the birtday girl!
Thanks
I am always grateful to my clients who, trusting me, give me their best memories to turn them into unique pieces for their homes.

Thank you again Elena!
